Things I Love Thursday

After a very, very long hiatus, guess what’s back! Things I Love Thursday! I can’t say this is for good, but there were quite a few gems this week that I wanted to share so figured why not throw it back on this fine Thursday? As you may remember, I tabled the series after feeling a little forced to source items each week (especially when I didn’t really feel like online shopping/perusing… the horror, I know).

Butttt how good are these five pieces? Everything is on sale besides this dress, which is already a steal at around $50. I’ve been eyeing these heels for a couple of months and when my size finally restocked a couple of days ago, jumped on them and am waiting for them to arrive. All the Brooks Brothers shoes I own were purchased on sale for under $100 and are among the most worn pieces in my closet.

Summer is far from over so adding this clutch to your weekend + wedding arsenal may be a good move, and I’ve never seen a Loren Hope necklace of this sort down to $75! Anyone else finding themselves having to exercise an unusual amount of self control this time of year while stores slash prices on summer merch?

ONE: Brooks Brothers Heeled Sandals, $68 (on sale!) // TWO: J.Crew Top, $48 (on sale!) // THREE: Mar y Sol Clutch, $25 (on sale!) // FOUR: Loren Hope Necklace, $75 (on sale!) // FIVE: Topshop Dress, $52

Current Favorites

Two things under $20, a splurge-worthy tank, and some solid basics? Sounds like a TILT-worthy roundup to me :)

ONE// Nordstrom Glass Pearl Long Necklace: Easy-to-layer pearls are hard to find, but at under $20, these are pretty much perfect. You can adjust the length by wrapping them around as many times as you’d like, and they’re an easy way to dress up more casual pieces for a professional setting.
TWO// Old Navy Top: This top arrived earlier this week (in what was my fifth attempt to get a pair of white jeans from Old Navy that fit… I’m giving it one.more.try. and then I’m done. Apparently finding a perfect pair of white skinny jeans isn’t easy!). Anyway, I’ve been adding a few random products to try to my cart in order to qualify for the free shipping, and this shirt was one of those. I love the light fabric and it’s surprisingly not see through. It’s also a steal at $15, especially since you can wear it tucked in slightly with shorts/white jeans, with leggings, or as a coverup.
THREE// Devon Baer Tank: I’m not one to spend this much on a top (I’m an avid sale shopper) but guys, I’m absolutely smitten. So many companies have been adding trendy accents to classic silhouettes –zippers come to mind– and it’s really disappointing to me to find that a piece I love has an added element that I’m less enthused about. Everything about this is what I’m looking for in a summer shirt!
FOUR// J.Crew Factory Wedges: Wedges are the secret to wearing heels all day, and this summery pair is really fun yet neutral. I love how Sydney styled them and could see them being perfect for casual weddings, too.
FIVE// Sweet & Spark Earrings: Jillian constantly amazes me with both her eye for vintage and her life as a successful businesswoman. I have a few pieces from her curated collection and can honestly say I wear one of the pairs of earrings at least once a week (I’m actually wearing them right now, as I write this post..ha!). Pearls and gold are such a classic combination and would also make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

This Week's Favs

Happy Thursday, friends! Make it a good one… my favorites this week (along with this entire line, of course!)

ONE// J.Crew Silky Tee: Just a basic tee to wear over white jeans in the summer, dark jeans in the fall, and easy to dress up with heels, flats, or sandals. Versatility, with multiple color options, at its best!
TWO// Steve Madden Heels: As we know: least trendy person over here. But this neutral, lace up heel look has been increasingly growing on me and while I’m not ready to spring for something like this (for more reasons than one…) think this Steve Madden pair is simple enough with a little kick, which is exactly what my closet needs. I’m not sure how comfy LOFT heels are, but this pair is slightly cheaper (on sale today!) and with a 1/2 inch lower heel, which to me is a lifesaver. Any experience with LOFT shoes?
THREE// L.L. Bean Pullover: The old school L.L. Bean logo makes and appearance and it’s amazing! This pullover has been on my wish list for months. It’s year-round appropriate (I’d probably go with the grey, because neutral), and like most outerwear of its kind, layers really well. From the looks of it and past experience with similar L.L. Bean pullovers, I’d say size up!
FOUR// Design Darling Topiary: Okay, so who’s with me… a good topiary is impossible to find! I’ve been on the hunt for over a year and Mackenzie finally restocked one of her bestsellers. I’m torn between this and one of the taller ones she used to have (like this) and while it seems pricey for an accent “plant,” is fairly standard if you want one that doesn’t look like plastic. Style it on a bookshelf, over coffee table books, on the mantle, or on a coffee/side table!
FIVE// Hanuel Cuff: Hanuel is a fairly new to me brand and not only are they locally-based, but they carry a wide range of styles and products that makes it easy to shop for yourself and others. I’ve been re-wearing the same statement bracelets repeatedly and think this one (on sale for $15, and free shipping!) would be the perfect summer piece. Their prices are modest across the board and there is a happy mix of classic + trendy…which makes for an ideal shopping situation.
