Spring Plaid

Posts like this are a personal reminder why I’m not a dedicated style blogger. One, my style would be so boring because I wear stripes + neutrals at least twice a week and two, there are some style things I just really don’t have a knack for–one of which is the front tuck (another is pattern mixing for men, if you’re curious.)

Guys, I feel like I look ridiculous here! Ashlee convinced me that my front tuck was fine and “cool,” but I kept looking at the photos after we shot and realized I have some ways to go before mastering this look. There are probably so many tutorials available but all tips are welcome :)

Ok onto the actual outfit–you’ve seen this shirt before on Instagram and it’s been on heavy rotation since making its way into my closet. I wore this outfit for a small business finance workshop yesterday and it was an easy casual-yet-pulled-together look. The shirt is really lightweight (so layer-able in the fall + winter, which awesomeee), making it ideal this time of year (as an aside, it’s going to be 80 degrees today…what!). It comes in a few different prints and runs a bit large, so consider sizing down. I’m wearing a small but have a medium in L.L. Bean flannels. PS: they’re doing the promo where you get a $10 gift card with any $50 purchase. Can’t even tell you how many times I’ve shopped with that before!
