Snow Day(s)

Snow Day Outfit

Well, Jonas wasn’t messing around! The District got dumped on this weekend and turned into a winter wonderland, and I wasn’t kidding when I said my native Texan + upstate NY educated self was seriously excited. I dragged J through the unplowed sidewalks (we mainly just walked on the road…photos below) to Baked & Wired on Sunday morning and he snapped these photos after warming up with a large coffee. Cupcakes for breakfast are very much a thing!

If you live near DC or are in town visiting, I highly recommend walking by the C&O Canal in Georgetown. It’s an Instagrammable dream: lots of pretty row homes, the water, and the general charm of the area. The lighting is a little spotty (especially when you throw in the reflectiveness of snow), but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot.

Snow Day Outfit

(2 seconds later, all this snow ended up on my head)

I’ve talked about this pullover, these leggings, and these boots several times (what style to buy, right this way!) and still can’t continue to say good enough things. I wore this exact outfit while venturing ~15,000 steps in the snow to brunch and beyond –thanks, FitBit– and was warm and comfortable the entire way.

If you were in the path of the storm, I hope you stayed safe and warm! Did any of you venture out for some winter fun? Fingers crossed for more snow days in 2016!
